Job Description:Seeking a Certified LCSW, as part of the primary care treatment team for a Community Health Center near Clam Gulch, AK. Interested candidates should have their LCSW or LCP certs and either have or be able to obtain Alaska certification. Candidates should have a PhD/PsyD in clinical or counseling Psychology, Master of Social Work from an accredited regional university.nSchedule:nn4-10 hour days, rotate Saturday clinic every 6th/7th Saturday nnSocial Worker Responsibilities:nnAssisting clients in receiving services in person.nGetting clients involved in beneficial activities.nAssessing clients and gathering relevant information.nOffering information and supporting clients and their families.nContacting and making referrals to other agencies and services.nMaintaining accurate records and preparing reports.nParticipating in training, supervision, and meetings.nWatch for signs of child abuse.nProvide crisis intervention.nnSocial Worker Requirements:nnExperience working with clients that are affected by issues including neglect, child abuse, domestic violence, mental health, and parental substance abuse.nAbility to give full attention to what social service clients are saying, understand the points being made, ask questions, and not interrupt inappropriately.nAwareness of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.nAbility to judge the relative costs and benefits of potential social service and health care actions and choose the most appropriate one.nComfortable using a computer for various tasks.nProficient in word, excel, outlook, and powerPoint.nAbility to stay calm and empathize with clients when they are upset.nMust have or be able to obtain an Alaskan LCSW or LCP nMust show proof of Covid vaccine due to Federal Mandate unless legally exempt.nAble to develop a treatment plan.nKnowledge of crisis intervention.nValid driver's license.nn,occupationalCategory:Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Social Worker}
